e-Complain Portal Launching: Using ICTs to empower citizens

Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development has launched a web portal, e-Complain, which allows citizens the ability to voice their concerns, issues and problems and also allows them a platform to demand their rights. It allows citizens of Bangladesh to report violations of rights afforded to them by the constitution of the land. The web portal can be accessed at www.complain.com.bd.
The launching event was held at the Dhaka Press Club; and was attended by Ali Akbar Khan as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by various sections of the civil society. Many of the person who attended the event praised the efforts of BIID is raising awareness of citizen's rights and wished BIID success in its endeavor to secure the rights of citizens of Bangladesh. |

On July 28th,2010 a launching event held at Brac INN Centre, Bangladesh
Institute of ICT in Development (BIID) inaugurated TravelLine,a tourism related website www.travelline.com.bd which is a brand new ICT
based initiative designed to boost the travel industry in Bangladesh. Mr. Ghulam
Muhammed Quader, Minister, Ministry of Civil Aviation was present there as chief
guest.
